Dog Training with Claire Apple

Located in rural Pittsboro, NC, I  provide both family obedience dog training as well as sheepdog and herding training for all breeds.Using positive training methods to achieve your personal goals I give you lasting skills to deal with future situations.  Together we will build a stronger relationship with your dog, and solve problems that may be preventing you from enjoying your canine companion .

I offer:

• Positive Reinforcement oriented, but use appropriate corrections as well
• Fluent with use of the clicker method in a variety of activities
• Any age/breed of dog is welcome, for any of my training, herding included
• Handicapped dogs are welcomed ( deaf/blind, etc), especially for herding and carting
  
• You can recieve private in-home instruction or small group ( 5 students or less)
• We work on your long and short term training goals - setting you up for success now and in the future
• You can be tested for the Canine Good Citizen through AKC's CGC program
• I offer obedience, herding, canine good citizen, tricks, tracking and draft work training
  

Working with dogs and their handlers for the past 8 years, I have emphasized positive methods and enjoyable experiences in both my group classes and individual instruction.   I have worked with many breeds, and my involvement in a variety of dog activities allow me to see the potential in every dog/owner team.
